November 8, 2026
Following its sold-out international premiere, Theatre Group Asia reunites the original Filipino cast for 18 performances at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater.
Some love stories are worth revisiting, and Manila audiences are getting another chance to experience one of the most beloved romances onstage.
Following its sold-out international premiere in September 2026, The Notebook, The Musical is returning to the Samsung Performing Arts Theater from February 4 to 21, 2027, just in time for Valentine's month.
Presented by Theatre Group Asia (TGA), the much-anticipated rerun brings back the original Filipino lead cast for a limited 18-show engagement, offering both returning theatergoers and first-time audiences another opportunity to experience Noah and Allie's enduring love story.
Under the direction of Nicholas Polonio, the production reunites six performers who portray the central characters at three different stages of their lives. Celeste Legaspi returns as Older Allie, Morissette as Middle Allie, and Sheena Belarmino as Younger Allie. Joining them are Rody Vera as Older Noah, Laurence Mossman as Middle Noah, and Benedix Ramos as Younger Noah.
Together, the three pairs trace the changing dimensions of Noah and Allie's relationship, from the exhilaration of young love to the difficult choices of adulthood and the emotional complexities of growing older. The production's approach allows audiences to witness different stages of the couple's journey, highlighting how love evolves through time, separation, and memory.
The decision to bring back the musical follows the overwhelming response to its first Philippine engagement. Theatre Group Asia Executive Director Christopher Mohnani shared that the company worked to reunite the original cast, covers, and creative team in response to audience demand, particularly from those who missed the initial run and those hoping to revisit the production.
Based on Nicholas Sparks' bestselling novel and its acclaimed film adaptation, The Notebook, The Musical follows the decades-spanning romance of Noah and Allie, two people whose connection endures despite the circumstances that pull them apart. The stage adaptation features an original score by acclaimed singer-songwriter Ingrid Michaelson, whose music captures the emotional highs and lows of their relationship.
Through its songs and storytelling, the musical explores first love, longing, separation, reconciliation, and the enduring power of shared memories. Its distinctive narrative structure brings together three generations of Noah and Allie, offering audiences a layered perspective on the different seasons of their relationship.
The Philippine production marked the musical's international premiere in September 2026, introducing local audiences to a theatrical interpretation of a story that has resonated with generations of readers and moviegoers. Its sold-out engagement reflected the enthusiasm of Filipino theater audiences for the production, making its return particularly welcome for those who were unable to secure tickets during the first run.
The musical's February return places Noah and Allie's story at the center of Valentine's celebrations, with 18 performances scheduled across three weeks, including two shows on Valentine's Day itself.
Performances are scheduled on February 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19 at 7:30 PM, while February 6, 7, 13, 14, 20, and 21 will feature both 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM performances.
With its themes of devotion, heartbreak, and the passage of time, The Notebook, The Musical offers a theatrical experience that speaks to the many forms and stages of love. For audiences who witnessed its premiere, the return offers an opportunity to rediscover familiar moments and performances. For those who missed it, February presents another chance to see the story unfold live.
Tickets for The Notebook, The Musical will be available exclusively through TicketWorld beginning November 16, 2026. The production is presented by Ayala Land, with additional support from BPI and Philippine Airlines.
