The Theatre Group Asia (TGA) continues to build excitement for its highly anticipated production of The Notebook, The Musical with the announcement of Filipino-Kiwi performer Laurence Mossman as Middle Noah, opposite Morissette, who was previously revealed to play Middle Allie.
Set to open in September 2026 at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater, the production marks the international premiere of the Broadway musical adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ beloved novel, with music and lyrics by Ingrid Michaelson and a Tony-nominated book by Bekah Brunstetter.
Currently based in London, Mossman brings an impressive international résumé to the production. He most recently appeared as Thuy in the International and Australian tour of Miss Saigon, and has also starred in Kinky Boots, Fun Home, Mamma Mia! and A Christmas Carol. His screen credits include Dolce Amore and the acclaimed film Die Beautiful.
He joins Asia's Phoenix Morissette, who returns to the theater stage after nearly a decade. Widely regarded as one of the Philippines' premier vocalists, Morissette has enjoyed a celebrated career spanning more than 15 years, highlighted by sold-out concerts around the world, collaborations with international artists, and her Best Actress-winning film debut in Song of the Fireflies.
“First and foremost, I’m so excited to be returning to the theater stage after almost a decade, and to be working with TGA on The Notebook: The Musical,” Morissette shared, adding that she has long admired the story and its beautiful score.
Mossman also expressed his enthusiasm for joining the production. “It is an incredible honor to join TGA’s production of The Notebook, The Musical. This story has touched audiences around the world because of its honesty, heart, and humanity. I'm excited to bring Middle Noah's journey to life alongside this extraordinary cast and creative team.”
TGA Overall Artistic and Creative Director Clint Ramos praised the pair, describing Morissette as a “spectacular” choice for Middle Allie and noting that Mossman’s artistry, warmth, and musicality make him the perfect fit for Middle Noah.
Based on the bestselling novel and the beloved 2004 film adaptation, The Notebook, The Musical tells the enduring love story of Allie and Noah across different stages of their lives.
Morissette and Laurence Mossman join the other announced cast members, Sheena Belarmino and Benedix Ramos as Young Allie and Noah, Celeste Legaspi as Old Allie.
