The cast of Bongga Ka, ’Day!: The Annie Batungbakal Musical is shaping up to be truly “bongga,” with an all-star lineup of some of today’s most sought-after theater leading men.

Newport World Resorts, in association with VIVA Communications and The Philippine STAR, has unveiled Sam Concepcion, KD Estrada, Jeff Moses, and Anthony Rosaldo as part of the highly anticipated musical inspired by the timeless hits of Hotdog.

Sam Concepcion takes on the role of Romer, a 27-year-old cosmopolitan and self-assured flight attendant who dabbles in photography. Coming from a well-off family, Romer is the only son of the owner of House of Pasion. Charming and worldly, he knows exactly how to work his appeal.

A seasoned performer and one of Philippine entertainment’s most accomplished triple threats, Concepcion recently starred as Daniel Beauxhomme in 9 Works Theatrical’s Once on This Island following his acclaimed turn as Popoy in PETA’s blockbuster production One More Chance The Musical.

Meanwhile, KD Estrada takes on the role of Burn, a humble folk-rock singer in his mid-20s. Though known for performing cover songs, Burn dreams of making it big with his own music and embarks on a journey to pursue his passion while striving for stability.
 

Estrada comes fresh from his celebrated run in Bagets The Musical, where he portrayed the affluent and conyo high school student Arnel. He made his musical theater debut in PETA’s award-winning zarzuela-comedy Walang Aray in 2023.
 

Joining Concepcion as an alternate for Romer is Jeff Moses, who continues to establish himself as one of the country’s promising young performers. After gaining recognition through television, Moses successfully transitioned to theater with Bagets The Musical, where he played the martial arts-loving Topee. His natural charisma and vocal prowess have made him a welcome addition to the growing world of musical theater.

Also stepping into the role of Romer is Anthony Rosaldo, a powerhouse vocalist and former The Clash finalist. Rosaldo has become a familiar face on stage, notably portraying Roger Davis in the 2024 Manila revival of Jonathan Larson’s Rent. He first made his theater debut in 2023 as Young Hector in the hit musical Ang Huling El Bimbo.

Together, these four performers bring a wealth of experience, charisma, and musicality to the production, heightening anticipation for what promises to be a vibrant celebration of Filipino music and culture.

Presented by Newport World Resorts in association with VIVA Communications and The Philippine STAR, Bongga Ka, ’Day!: The Annie Batungbakal Musical features the beloved songs of Hotdog and is staged with PETA Plus. The production is set to open in September 2026 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater.
