Nick Payne’s Constellations Returns to Manila This November with Missy Maramara, Jenny Jamora and Topper Fabregas
October 5, 2026

What if a single encounter could lead to an infinite number of love stories?
Nick Payne’s acclaimed play Constellations returns to the Philippine stage this November 2026 in a new production by Stages Production Specialists, Inc., bringing a fresh interpretation of love, fate, and the endless possibilities of human connection.
Directed by Italian-American Fulbright Specialist Kiara Pipino, the upcoming production takes an unconventional approach to Payne’s original two-character play, featuring three performers who will interchangeably embody its central characters across different realities.
The production stars Missy Maramara (SPIT Manila, The Half Life of Marie Curie, Stop Kiss), Jenny Jamora (Anthropology, In the Eyes of the People, The Blue Room), and Topper Fabregas (Shrek the Musical, Ang Huling El Bimbo, Bar Boys: A New Musical).
One Story, Infinite Possibilities
At the heart of Constellations are Marianne, a quantum physicist, and Roland, a beekeeper, whose chance encounter unfolds through an infinite number of possible realities.
Originally written as a two-hander, the play explores how even the smallest decisions can alter the course of a relationship, presenting different versions of the same encounters, conversations, and emotional connections.
In this new staging, however, the roles of Marianne and Roland are not permanently assigned to any single performer. Instead, Maramara, Jamora, and Fabregas will move between both characters, allowing the story to unfold through three different bodies as the characters navigate parallel universes.
The creative approach introduces another dimension to Payne’s exploration of identity and relationships, inviting audiences to consider whether love remains the same when the people embodying it change.
As the production's official release puts it:
“The body changes. The universe changes. The story remains.”
With its shifting realities and unconventional casting, this Manila production offers audiences a new way to experience a story about the choices we make, the paths we leave unexplored, and the connections that shape our lives.
Constellations will have a limited run on November 13–15 and 20–22, 2026, at 3F The Mirror Studio Theater, Poblacion, Makati City.
Tickets are priced at ₱1,500 each and are now available through:
