Ebe Dancel, Urbandub, and The Itchyworms Lead Benefit Gig for Echo Singson
October 13, 2026

“Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo” takes place on October 16 at 123 Block, with all proceeds supporting Singson’s medical expenses and rehabilitation.
The Filipino music community is coming together to support one of its own. Ebe Dancel, Urbandub, The Itchyworms, The Ronnies, and The Revisors will perform at “Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo,” a fundraising gig for musician and longtime music scene mainstay Echo Singson.
The benefit show will take place on October 16, 2026 8PM, at 123 Block in Mandala Park, Mandaluyong City.
All proceeds will go directly to Echo to help cover his medical expenses and rehabilitation following a stroke.
Echo suffered a stroke on September 19 while hosting a March of the Penguins gig at Mow’s. He was rushed to East Avenue Medical Center, where he received care before being discharged. According to the organizers, he has since shown small signs of improvement as he continues his recovery.
For those who have spent time in the local music scene, Echo’s contributions extend from the stage to the work that keeps live events running. Over the years, he has worked as a host, sound technician, production assistant, and lighting crew member, while remaining an active participant and supporter of Filipino indie music.
His connection to The Itchyworms dates back to when his older brother, Chino Singson, joined the band. In 1999, Echo also co-founded Boldstar with Jazz Nicolas, Marie Jamora, and Justin Sunico.
Now, friends and fellow musicians are gathering to help him through his recovery. The October 16 show gives audiences a chance to catch a lineup of familiar OPM acts while contributing to Echo’s ongoing care.
Tickets to “Alingawngaw Para Kay Echo” will be available at the venue on the day of the event.
