Broadway’s Hit Jukebox Musical Dances Into Manila With Iconic Pop Anthems and an Inspiring True Story

This July 2026, Manila will feel the rhythm as On Your Feet! The Story of Emilio and Gloria Estefan will make its Southeast Asian premiere under the banner of Rockwell and 9 Works Theatrical.

On Your Feet! premiered on Broadway in November 2015 after a pre-Broadway engagement in Chicago. Featuring a book by Alexander Dinelaris Jr., the musical traces the rise of Gloria Estefan and Emilio Estefan—from their early days in Miami’s Latin music scene to becoming global crossover superstars.

The show ran for nearly two years on Broadway and later toured internationally, introducing mainstream musical theatre audiences to the Latin rhythms that reshaped American pop. The musical won several awards, including a Tony award nomination for Best Choreography.

Built around chart-topping hits including “Conga,” “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” “1-2-3,” and “Anything For You,” the production is structured as a jukebox musical, weaving the Estefans’ catalog into a narrative of immigration, ambition, partnership, and resilience.

For the Manila staging, 9 Works Theatrical's artistic director, Robbie Gueverra, will take helm along with musical direction by Daniel Bartolome.

Tickets and other details will be announced soon.
