Kwentuhog: Jam marks the sixth installment in Act Avenue’s bold and heartfelt Kwentuhog series, a continuing tradition that celebrates fresh voices and new perspectives in Philippine theater. This year’s production brings together emerging actors and first-time directors, debuting their creative vision on the Act Avenue stage.

At the core of this edition is a powerful lineup of six original and untested short plays, penned by Manunulat, Act Avenue’s in-house pool of playwrights. These plays form a Framed Anthology centered around a single, urgent theme: being stuck in grief, identity, political trauma, or digital histories. Each piece holds up a mirror to our own paralyzing moments and unresolved struggles, urging the audience to reflect, empathize, and confront uncomfortable truths.
