This June, The Playbook Club is excited to present FIRST LOVE, LAST LOVE—an evocative double-bill of two powerful plays by Rafael Jimenez.

Both works explore the multifaceted nature of young love, delving into how societal pressures and powerful forces often stand in the way of youthful dreams and desires.

In a not-so-distant future, where the government puts a large tax on having romantic relationships, Lau and Luna navigate a Philippines that outlaws unregistered relationships.

Who is The Playbook Club?

The Playbook Club is a grassroots production house of artists and actors staging theater productions, producing short films, and hosting weekly script reading nights.

Alongside handling their pool of talents, they also provide casting for films, music videos, theater productions, and ads/TVC's. Their most recent production was the 2023 sold-out run of A Midsummer Night’s Dream directed by Nelsito Gomez with an all-female cast.
